Self-Arazzie. Definition – Noun. A photo that captures the exact moment where a user goes ballistic at his/her inability to stop taking Seflies at each and every opportunity.

The Selfie has become ubiquitous, and the phenomenon only seems to be growing. Ellen Degeneres broke Twitter with hers (which, it turns out, was an elaborate and well-executed product-placement by Samsung), the President has gotten in on the phenomenon  (at funerals, no less!) and you yourself have no doubt taken dozens. Some are sexy, some are hilarious, some are dangerous and some flat-out awesome. The oldest Selfie ever has even been identified, proving the narcissistic endeavor has been long in the works.

digital madnessOur “Digital Madness” columnist, Michael A. Stusser, has created a new form of Selfie, The Self-Arazzi, which combines the egotistic need to photograph ones self with the wild (and often unwanted) frenzy paparazzi create when capturing a celeb shot. It’s Selfie meets Fight Club, with a little Alec Baldwin thrown in for good measure. It’s fun, it’s cathartic, and, above all, it’s trending on Twitter!

Please share your best Self-Arazzie photo with us. We’ll publish them in an upcoming photo essay and give the top 5 photos a free copy of the original Good Men Project anthology. Send Self-Arazzies to info@goodmenproject.com, subject line, Self-Arazzie. Or tweet it to @goodmenproject, hashtag #SelfArazzie
